There are so many choies it's hard for the new guys to know where to start, but personally I love the 47-50" class planes. I like them because they are big enough to fly smoothly and solidly, and they handle the wind well. They are small enough that they are afforable, and so are the equipment and batteries. I also like that they fit in the car (mine is a 200 Nissan Altima) assembled so you can do all your preflight at home. I can also store a lot of them assembled in the house and out of my 100 degree garage.

I love the 60" planes too, but they are more work and more money. I wish I had a bigger house, bigger car, and more money, so I could have more of them!

kinda looking for the plane you would re-order today without hesitation if you crashed it, I can't think of a better recommendation than that, especially coming from some of you that have flown just about everything from 42 to 126

That goes for about 90% of us, Doc! I got the first 2 covered, and that leaves little left for the hobby.

There's another vote for crack yak!

I still think a big slick, a small slick (minus the 59!), and a crack yak would be all I needed.

3DHS Slick 71
EF MXS 64

Spot #3 open, but am building a 3DHS Vyper 65 so it may go there. On the list is EF Edge 48 or 3DHS Edge 48.

And I fantasize about many more .... Slick 89, upcoming EF MXS 78.

I've only flown through 50-60cc-sized, myself. Four different 50cc+ planes, of which I still own two.
I just really like the 30cc and smaller planes, I guess... though I know some folks are more of the "go big or go home" mindset.

I once foolishly sold my 78" Extra, then wanted it back so badly I traded my 88" Edge for it(and a small electric bipe they had)
I have zero regrets on that trade, even though I really liked the 88" Edge as well.

The 78" is probably my favorite plane ever, so far.
The 64" MXS is an extremely close second.

Hmmm......42" Vyper Bipe for throwing in the car and flying, then a 58 edge and 72 extra. Id be too scared to fly anything bigger.

ride hard and fly low

My three would be:

3DHS 41" Edge - can fly this plane in a gym.
3DHS 48" Edge - very smooth.
3DHS 42" Slick - hovers and torque rolls made easy.

I like the lower cost of the smaller planes.
Fly low with attitude!

I could not live without my

3DHS 42" Slick
3DHS 55" Edge
3DHS 70" Slick

Especially my lunch time, fits in my trunk with wings on 42" Slick.
