Why would you need to gear them, providing they are an appropriate Kv and power?

I have a park 250 that looks about right at 14 grams , anywhere in the 1500-2000 rpm per volt will work . No gears ,but I will have to extend the 2mm drive shaft . Hobby King has some tiny car speed controls that fit the bill .

Thata the Most unusual Hasegawa boat model I have Ever seen....

Googled it ~ Nuthin.

I cant quite make out the kit # on the bottom right corner of the box.

May I ask, where did you find it, and is it very old please ?

I found it on ebay , yes the only one I ever saw so I scooped it up . There is a cabin cruiser they made and I've seen 2 in my years of looking . I think the kit # is b-2 : 800 I would say from the 1970's

I used 2mm carbon fiber rod for shafts , and bought metric tubing 2mm id from tower hobbies to fit also one size larger and one smaller . It seems to be very low friction and a nice tight fit .

I have the same motor in my little model of a Starcraft, its about 11" long and goes pretty nice on a 0.6' dia prop from them. Yours is going to have lots of OOmph for sure with those motors,

Here's my build up, there is a link to the video of it to give you an idea of how well it runs with that motor. Keep us posted, looks great!

G-O your star craft is amazing !!! also a very original and good choice . Yes I have been following your thread You have really captured the starcraft and made it run well . I went with the larger blades on the prop so it will lock up with the water at lower rpm for nice scale docking maneuvers . The 5 blade is even better but out of stock when I ordered They do look a bit big when I look at pictures of the real thing .
