I'm just getting into night flying and planning to build my next foamy with a remote switch.

The plan is to embed 4-6 SMD 5050 strips into a foam wing and then be able to turn them on/off without opening the ship.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :-)

Bear in mind that the two HobbyKing switches and the Pico switch, whilst they can handle more current than the rc-lights switch, will not supply power to the LEDs. They merely switch on or off a separate power supply. If you are going to be using less than 300mA the rc-lights switch would be simpler and much lighter.

If you want to make your own switch, just take apart an old servo and add 2 resistors, then follow this wiring diagram:
