So, how's your "education" in Economics werkin' out fer 'ya? Get rich yet with all that profound education?
so you post an accusation about someone failing econ 101 and yet you have no idea about the classwork involved.

But since you have owned your own business since you were 22 years old, that provides you with the credibility to criticize another and make the leap that they failed Econ 101. Got it.

PS...no where near rich and do not have a job in Econ. and I never professed knowledge that i don't possess. Only that I took Econ 101, Econ 540, and Econ 550 as required for my degree.

My degree required Econ 101, Micro Econ, and Macro Econ. I'm not saying i'm an economist. But I'm curious what formal education you have on the subject.

HF.... when I first read his post, and saw that you had responded... I didn't even need to read it... I KNEW what was coming... and how deep the doo-doo was, that he stepped in...

Hat tip to you for the fantastic shaming... it made my day.

Huh? His business ownership since he was 22 despite having no idea what is involved in Econ 101 is your basis? Here's a thought. Perhaps know what is involved in the classwork by having gone through it first hand before accusing someone of failing that class.

Evidently the compounding mistake is still missed in the lesson.

I had to take many econ courses for my undergrad and grad business degrees, worked in banking for 20+ years including a stint w/FRB, worked for a European corporation and have lived in Asia.

I'll take a hunch that I have a deeper understanding of global economics better than someone who pounds nails.

But, what's your point?

I build computer rooms and do lots of other technical telecommunications work... but some of it is just plain old hard work... and I enjoy coming to work nowadays. I am not degreed in any way though I have a professional title. I am financially sound and owe no one for anything. I just gave my company back a management/engineering job with a large salary, that I'd had for 17 years, because I am financially sound, and my cow died... (i.e. I didn't need their bull.) Common sense and strength of character goes a lot further than the college crowd would have you believe. One CANNOT learn what 40 years experience teaches in college. Oddly enough, I get calls at least weekly from former colleagues (all degreed) asking what or how or where, or... WHY... Go figger...

I don't think I have ever seen Highfllight make that claim. However, I have a lot of respect for him. At least he isn't looking for a Govt. handout. He just wants to be left alone to do his thing by himself. I have a lot more respect for someone like that, than one who thinks they can't do it by themselves, that they need the Govt. to help them.
