Embassies are 'quiet and peaceful' establishments that try to maintain a low profile - I've worked in embassies and never, did I see an obviously armed guard or a piece of ordnance lying in full view!

Look on the roof and you may see a few wires - other than that, they tend not to stand out!

LA times article on the militia support for the embassy. The militia members as well as two civilian guards employed by Blue Mountain, a British firm that in May was awarded a $783,000 State Department contract to help secure the compound, were responsible for safety.

Oh it gets better folks.

Seems that funds for additional security in Libya were diverted......to buy Chevy Volts for Vienna Embassy staff.....

Excellent Washington Post opinion column pretty much sums up the pond scum that needs to be drained..

“ The truth is pretty simple — four weeks before a presidential election, the Obama administration knows it cannot afford to tell the American people that its foreign policy is plagued by a knee-jerk, blame-America-first mentality that sought to blame America’s freedom of speech for the first terrorist attack on U.S. soil since September 11th.”
