Turnigy mis-labeled battery

I purchased two 3600 mAh 30C 6S Turnigy batteries from HK. Everything looked OK at first glance, but then I realized one of the packs has a sticker / label indicating its only 3000 mAh. Both batteries are exactly the same size, so I do hope both are 3600 mAh. I have not yet soldered on connectors so I can test the capacity.

I would not mind much if these were less than $20, but I guess QC is not the best no matter pack size...

So have you contacted HK yet?

Let em run you around for a bit, then hopefully you paid by paypal or by credit card.
Contact PP or CC and let em know what happened and what HK is up to if they aren't taking care of it for you.

If they want the wrong pack back, make sure they send you a return authorization and prepaid shipping label. Make copies of everything. Including any conversations via their on line operators or by email you get or have.

I would weigh them and compare the size and weight to their published specs.
Then I would hook up some sort of an adapter to charge and measure the packs capacity.

I would be surprised of HK will pay your return shipping.
If they do, I would send them back.
If not, you will know what you have.

Check out the weight of them. The 3000 weighs 487 grams and the 3600 weighs 577 grams.

looks like one of them has the wrong sticker, size is the same so they are both either 3000 or 3600s.

Yeah, physical measurements indicate they are they same, and fortunately, 3600 mAh. Not an indication of a quality production line, but what can we except, with the prices they offer

So, they offered to sell me the correct battery for $36 (regular price $66.11), thus avoiding shipment of mis-labelled battery back to them. Now if the battery they sent me really had been 3000 mAh, and not just mis-labelled, it would have been a crappy offer, considering the price for the 3000 mAh is $39.99, and I had paid $66.11 for it.
