This is a stock can and all I made is the mount!
The stator is plastic with 100 wraps of very fine wire I got 20T of 30g wire on it now, But have not tested it yet.
I also drilled 3 mounting holes and taped the for 4-40 to mount through the firewall.
Thanks and I'll post pics when it's done.

when replacing the magnets, what type of CA are you using to keep them secure. I saw it somewhere but this thread is HUGE. Thanks.

azfrench,

>what type of CA are you using to keep them secure.

I use thin CA for metal glueing.

Could someone please compare the efficiency to Uberball's nippy motors?
I just wanted to know how they compare.

I have some broken shaft troubles at landing.
The prop. saver is important goods for CD-ROM motor flying.

Has anyone tried the motor from a laptop's HDD or CD-rom drive? I was thinking of going brushless for my second plane, and need something about the size/weight of an IPS. It's a Hobbico F/F Zero, if anyone wants to know.

Cheeshead:
That motor in the post above of mine that says complete! Is only 10 grams How small do you want to go?
I have laptop hard drives and dvd/cd drives but the motors are built into the case and are a little tough to work with but I can do it?
But they are new lighter then the one above.
