What a beauty! Subscribed. Is it going to be C/L or a radio conversion?

Thanks, George. She'll be control line. I've been a control line sport flier for many years; this will be my first "serious" stunt ship.

Awesome! Best of luck with the build! Maybe I will get to see it in person someday! Did you purchase the plans from somewhere?

The hardest choice will be the engine....Fox 35 or 428 hemi V-8?

Madbomber, I honestly don't remember where I got the plans. I've had them in my collection for many years. I think they came from the MAN plans service.

A lot of model history is summed up in that 1967 magazine cover. Monokote was new, and strongly resisted by many traditionalists. Yes, people still covered their models with stuff called tissue or silk and finished them with dope. You can Google that. BTW, when Monokote was first introduced, it could not be used over open bay structures. One had to cover the structure with tissue first. Finally, tuned exhaust pipes are hailed as the "scoop of the century", having never been used on model engines.

Give the man a chance MB - as far as I can see he is building two models and rebuilding a third - plus who knows what else!

Yes, SD I did have a few things on the "honey do" list during the past few days. Made some progress on the wing though....

Hahahaha! I am reminded of a young pup nipping at the old hounds heels and getting scolded for it.

Installed the plywood bellcrank mount and trial fitted the bellcrank and leadout lines. I'll be using adjustable leadouts.

Thanks, Guizo. It is not for nothing I'm known as Brokenspar...

Installed leadout cables and started the wingtips.

When I read Roadrunner it reminds me of Jr Walker and the All Stars, another Dozier etc masterpiece of course.
