There needs to be a tiny bit of slop in this to take up the load. Without that, your tail will explode, or bind up. If the behavior is bad, then look at it, but if you're getting good performance with the slop there, leave it that way. The bottom line is how it performs, and a really tight tail assembly stresses the servo and performance drops.

Jasmine is right, there is another reason why you may be getting a tail bounce and that is binding. Binding linkages have pretty much the same effect that sloppy ones do: Binding as well as slop introduces a delay between servo "attempting" to move tail blades and the blades actually moving.
A major cause of tail bind in a 450 is incorrectly assembled tail grips, especially on clones. Tail grip binding can go undetected if the bind only happens while the blades are rotating, to test this, spin up the heli with the tail servo disconnected and move the pushrod by hand. |

Yeah that was a problem with the early Trex 250, the tail would bind under load and fail. It was a combination of problems leading to that but one solution was to loosen the grips and free it up, which caused it to work but be inaccurate.
