Fuel Dots

There are so many of these on the market, what should I be looking for?

The ones from Miracle RC look cool but are expensive... are some better than others; or is it like a gas can where they are all practically the same?

You're correct, they are all practically the same. I used to use these kind with my pattern planes (when I flew nitro back in the day). It's hard to screw up a fuel dot since they are so simple, so really any brand would work.

This is NOT a TOY?

There are many. Plastic, plain aluminum, anodized, big, small, etc.
The 'expensive' ones add a nice bit of bling to the plane, if you want that.

I don't like the simple smooth plastic ones, because they are sometimes hard to pull out.
I prefer the larger ones, for the bling, and the quarter-turn smaller ones, if I just want something 'functional' that's still decent.
The ones in the picture above look fine, too.

Thanks MLT, just ordered

Do any of you all use Jersey gas cans, or do you all make your own?

despite getting it to move some fluids, I do not think my pump is operating as great as it should; like there is no pressure.

I did see some nice dots at the field today. A nice miracle with switch and engraved gas symbol, and the infamous mcfueler.

I have fromeco regs and switches on all my big stuff, but the miracle fuel dots' engraving does add some nice bling; I love the gas nozzle symbol they put on it

It's an ignition switch, so felt like I could experiment there.

However, 79 flights, and mine works just fine.

That Wolverine switch looks like some big overkill for a 30cc plane?

Yea that Wolverine is a bit overkill for any of my stuff too (as I am not running dual rx batteries in anything).

From Fromeco, I really like the Sahara with the add-on pin flag switch.

I made a few of those for my Cub and have had them on several other planes over the years, starting with the Diamante. I eventually switched all the arming plugs over to Powerpoles since I built charging ports into some of these planes and wanted to eliminate any chance of possibly plugging the arming plug into the wrong port and shorting the system.

They both do the exact same, but if you ever decide to install a charge port on one of your aircraft then be careful you dont put the arming plug into the charge port!

What 30cc are you building? Gas or electric?
