You could also look at your pushrod flex or spring tension (which ever one you have). Grab your elevator and try and push it down to see if flexes. The launch pitching loads are very high.

Unfortunately, lots of other activities have interrupted my flying and I have yet to fly the glider since it's repair. Maybe tomorrow.
