PL8 - Cell Over Voltage Press to Reset
All of a sudden I'm getting errors when charging packs, "Cell Over Voltage Press to Reset". I pressing buttons does not reset the error, nor does pressing and holding the Enter button to stop charging. In fact, I need to unplug and restart the charger to get out of the error.
Nothing with the cell voltages seems out of place when I restart the charge. For example the last time this happened, all the cells were at 4.15.
Any ideas as to what is causing this?
I also got those over voltage messages and found that cleaning the balance connectors on both the Lipo and the charger balance connector fixed this problem for quite a while.
I believe they get a little dirty from wear and then under charging load, the voltages do not read correctly and the PL8 shuts down thinking there is something wrong with the Lipo.
Wish we had gold connectors because that would fix this problem.
I just used some electronic/contact spray and it worked just great....
