We just finished sanding the entire front fuse, yes I had a bit of help as my little one was working on one side of the jet and I was working on the other side.
I hate sanding but he wanted to keep going all the way, 2 years old and already learning basic prep work

Anyways, I'm hoping that this weekend I can start the priming process, we shell see

Done shaping one of the intake lips, working on the other one.

Tonight I am sanding the rear fuse + finishing off the functional rudder.

LOL, not my favorite thing to do, I find that the finishing at times can take as long as the entire build.......it acctually pays off if you take your time and do a good job with prepping.

Your mirage looks great.

Currently working on sanding off the second coat of filler primer from the front fuse (One more coat and I think she is ready for color).

Started working on finishing the rear part of the fuse, So far it has been sanded ready for the primer + I finished doing the mod for the functional rudder (Only need servo bay cut and horn glued which is the easy part), To finish it off I need to glue the vertical fin as per the picture on the previous post.

I'm getting closer

BTW, I ended up scraping the functional canard wings idea as a lot of people said that it is a waste of time due to no improvment or change in the flight characteristic of the plane.

you dont notive them until you start being hard on the sticks. its the tighter radius manuevers that bring the canards to life. aka 3D stuff

i just finished glassing mine. lots of sanding to do now.

Don't think I can do any 3d with the limited travel I was getting prior to gluing them, would work for high speed aggressive turns but not for slow aggressive stuff...
...need more travel for that.
