Thanks for the suggestion, but the throttle still has no response to the
Spektrum receiver. I will order the Sabertooth ESC instead.


The throttle output on the Spektrum receiver is live for sure as it will
command the rudder servo when I connect it to the throttle output
terminals.

So the only possibility is that the toy ESC is not compatible with
other receivers.

Just an FYI, the sabertooth 2x5 rc is plenty for this boat. Each stock motor on mine is only pulling about an amp so 5 amps for each motor is more than enough. I just happened to have the 2x25 left over for a bulldozer that never worked all that well.
