Custom NAZA GPS Protection with Mast

Protect your DJI NAZ GPS. I have personally lost one GPS to a roll over crash. This device is designed to break off in hard crashes that hit the gps gaurd. It has one stainless steel bolt that hold the pieces together. You can mount it with one stainless steel bolt from underneath.

The device also is designed to manually rotate to allow for magnetic declination adjustments

In the case of a rollover crash the device hits on the guarded area around the GPS compass and if the crash is hard enough the guard snaps off of the stand for protection. The bottom of the guard is 5mm thick abs plastic the sides are solid ABS plastic. I can make these in black or white

2 inches tall from top to bottom

$10 shipped in USA ( I am shipping over seas but the shipping has to be paid by the purchaser
$5 shipped for replacement parts in the USA (ie the guard has been snapped off from crashing)

Because I make them with my 3D printer I can also make them different lengths if needed

I haven't got my GPS yet - but I had been worrying about mounting it high on top ... this is exactly a solution that I could use!

Is 1.5" or whatever high enough for the GPS to get a clear signal?

It is exactly 2 inches from the bottom to the top of the gaurd. I have 0 problems with it linking up. I use a gopro (Just for video) and a reg small cam for fpv. Many have been concerned about the height if it gets to be an issue I may raise it to 2.5 inches

Which 3D printer do you use? I'm in the process of building a Prusa V2 but am having some issues getting it running.

Great idea, but could it be attached to the compass head only and then used with the CF rods that come with the NAZA or WKM? With your current height at about 2", it seems just a little too low to get a proper link and then it will need a lot of copper foil to protect from EMI.

I fly mine at the default height and never have an issue getting all green blinks takes about 20 seconds +-. But keep in mind I can make them taller if you request it. I made one 3.25 high just this weekend for a person

I am in the country surrounded by trees and get all sats as the GPS sits on hex arm with No mast.
