And true, my thoughts on the debate spin are conjecture.
Based on the experiences of past presidential debates. Only this time by a factor of 10.
I was listening to our local morning show and a man claiming to be Muslim called in with his opinion. He claimed that it is a Muslim requirement to be a community organizer and redistribute the wealth both of which O has done and is doing. Add that O was born and raised by Muslims and the many slips of the tongue from him and his wife It would surprise me if he wasn't Muslim

At this point, I'm pretty sure he is totally Muslim. His name is one small clue. Never heard a Christian named Hussein Obama. Haha....

It's hard to track down but the estamated number of regestered voters is about 150 to 160 mil.

And remember, not all of them will vote.

Careful there. You are talking to the EXPERT on all things concerning the U.S. He probably honestly thought there were 300 million voters in the U.S.

Oh your figures aren't that far off, ET.

Potential voters would be those over the voting age of 18. In 2004 (latest year with full figures) it was 221 Million out of a population of around 290 million which would be 76% of their population. Of course of those only around 175 million were registered to vote, and of those only 122 million actually did.

http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/data/turnout.php

Anyways, extrapolating with the same ratio from todays US population of 314.5 million ( http://www.census.gov/population/www/popclockus.html ) would leave a pool of about 240 million eligible voter-aged Americans.

76% is a "C", unless you're in East LA.
