I have new V400D02, and Mastrer c/p is on the way from X-heli. I was aware of sevo issue. Plus bought extra motors. V400D02 cost me $114.00 shipped. Master C/P was $113.00 + $14.00 postage. For a 400 sized/ and 250 size not bad even with servos. Yes they have issues I can live with as I'm not heli beater.
Futaba 3114 fit in perfectly into the master, you can also just use the gears from the Futabas in the Walkera Servos.

Do not, i repeat do not use the gears from the S3114 in a walkera servo. thats how my heli had its second crash, the gears almost fit, but if you use a slightly lager battery like i tried to do the gears will slip. this resulted in a pretty nasty crash dive. and im still waiting for spare parts from slower then slow banggood.

Just replace all the stock servos.

try to replace my servos with this..still in "shipped" state..coming soon the review
Here is some picture of my master Cp with these servo (Turnigy 9025 metal gear servos and it went in the right direction no need to re wire them!)

you just need to modify the both ears of the servo, cut it out and then put it under the servo holder which is unite with the swashplate guide, and for more hold just use 2 pcs of cable tis,it will hold the servo well,i test hovering with this servos and all good, very strong for aileron and PIT,i havent put it for elevator's servo because the frame really dont fit, need to do some mods for the frame and i aint gonna do that,i want to keep the frame original..and i havent tried 3D movement with this servo because im not good at it..

Is the ES08MD a direct, drop-in replacement?

No, you have to modify the frame with a dremel and the front servo had to be fixed with epoxy.
Took an hour for all 3 Servos, but they never broke again, even at crashs after inverted flight (tries) and high speed

The S3114 costs about twice as much as the stock servo and the replacement gear set (plastic) costs almost as much as the stock servo.

What are the advantages?

The servos of the V400D02 may move in the opposite direction to the servos on the Master CP. So you better be careful about it.

i wish i could fly my mastercp....too friggin cold out for flying anymore. Just gonna tinker and sim for now. Sim is so boring these days but i'm still working on inverted circuits....my brain doesn't want to grasp it for some reason.
