Mirage 2000 - 120mm and 90mm EDF - Parkjetdesign


Hi,

This is my Mirage 2000 for 90mm EDF, i did a lot of upgrades since my first Mirage 2000 post --> ( https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=1187662 )

Specs:
Wing: 90cm
Fuselage: 130cm
Weight: ~2,5kg
Speed: ~ 200 - 250km/h (not tested),
EDF: ChangeSun 12 blades
Motor: HET Typhoon 600-42 1600kv
BAT: 8s lipo

The fiber glass copper plate it is very strong and cheap. Great material...

interesting, hows the wieght compared to say, 1/8 lite ply?
How re you getting it to stick? I mean with such hard smooth surface of the copper plate. Wont a hard jolt just pop it apart?
Ive had expeirnece with the epoxies seperating with hard surfaces.Pops clean off like it was out of a mold.

Im just saying i think you would have gotten a stronger bond and much lighter if lite ply was glued to the foam then you glass and epoxy ,sandwiching the lite ply between the two.

This copper plate have one side with copper, the other side is pure fiber glass.. sand it a little bit and it is ready to glue. I like to do some experiences. I did your way, plywood glued on foam then glassing, it is a great technique.

Yes, it is used in electronics devices, but it is very easy to find it... in any electronic store like Radio Shack you will find a blank copper plate.
