Great chart, took me a bit to figure it out but makes sense now.

Also the 7950 seems like a perfect servo for tilt or roll.
Of course it is, it's the most expensive one!

FWIW, the UG-1 full kit now includes all the parts needed to build it with or without a tilt pot. I decided to do it that way instead of making it an option, since many (if not most) people will end up trying it both ways anyhow. The price went up $5 which is the cost of the extra parts. If anyone bought a full kit, and wants the extra parts, drop me an email and I can sell them to you for $5 plus postage.

The UG-1 G10 and Delrin kit also has the extra tilt bearing plate added now as well. No price change there. I can also send those plates for just the postage cost to anyone who's purchased those kits.

Cheers,
Rusty

Hey guys, how about helping me come up with a catching name for this gimbal? I know Rusty is calling is the UG1. I want something a bit more fancy.

I was thinking about the Rustywave gimbal?

Btw, purchased the kit from Rusty and the 7955s. I'm like a kid in a candy store. Pumped to build something and learn again.

Way to go, good luck there is a little bit of tuning of things ahead of you but you should get some nice results.

The Aloha gimbal?

Others I thought of in honor of the islands.

Akamai (smart, intelligent)
Kokua (cooperation)
Lewa (air)
Makai (towards the ocean)
Lolo (crazy)
WikiWiki (fast)

My two cents
