Yeah I had this one laying around and being that I've never had any problems I used it

Sure sorry about your loss! I'm curious about why you think it's a "brown out" as opposed to just running out of range. With only two servos, I would expect that the BEC would have no problem maintaining voltage. On the other hand, the knockoffs are notorious for having range problems. I've used a couple of the new Spektrum AR400's and these have really excellent range. They have a separate amplified antenna, so they are full range receivers. I've flown one "way out" in a FunJet with no problems. Given the very low price of these, they're MUCH safer than the knockoffs. Just my $0.02.

Yeah right before it went in it flipped inverted on its own and I had no control...was pushing forward ele trying to get altitude but no response...when I plugged in esc again I got the tell tale flashing light from rx

I'm not sure that was a brown out just kidding.

Ever since I started using the orange rx I have never had a brown out.

Quick meter test after balancing the propeller. I made no ESC adjustments and gather its on hard breaking. Might cost you a prop on landing. Anyways numbers as follows...

3s test
11.7v. For 188w at a cost of 16.8 amps

4s test

16.03v for 509watts at a cost of 31.7 amps.

YMMV

well until i do a test on the bec output on 4's , the esc is suspect in my book. maybe i missed it but i saw nothing re. a switching bec being included in the esc. at 31 amps all bet some heat is generated and if its a linear bec on 4's it's not a good mix for the well known spektrum rx voltage needs.

chuck.

Just fitted my 100amp ESC and 1500kv 1300w motor with a 6s 1300mah 40-80c in the plane. All i am waiting for is my motor bracket i am cutting on the cnc laser at work tomorrow.
