New Product

xRotor IFrame Clear View FPV

I'm pretty excited about what the postman left me today...

It is the New xRotor IFrame Clear View FPV Quad by BlueSkyRC.com

You may ask what the Clear view means?
It is a quad that has the camera mount plate out in front of your props.
No more props in you FPV videos just a Clear View.

I will be taking a few pics as I build my new quad.

Here is a list of the parts I will be using:

xRotor IFrame Clear View FPV frame from BlueSkyRC.com

Tiger Motors MT-2208-18 1100 KV -ClubHeli.com
20 amp Flashed ESC's RCtimer.com

MultiWii Control Board
Bob's Super Simple Shield for MultiWii
Arduino Pro Mini 5V 16MHz MEGA328P
Wii Motion Plus - Black (Japanese Version)

Frame sections all together

Now it's time to cut some booms, along with the arms that will support the frame sections.....

You always ship quick.... guess the postman knew I wanted to get started building.

I fixed the first link on the first post to go directly to the xRotor IFrame page.

It is a good idea to leave the halo off until you get the flight deck prepared for your board. However, there usually is enough room to put the board in and out with the halo on.

Looking really good.

More Progress...

I got all my arms cut today and drilled for screws. I will add a few more screws to the top after I get through putting clear on the IFrame.
My arms are just a bit longer than suggested size. I am planning on using a 9" props.

I also drilled the center plate to accept my control board. You may already do this but for the ones that don't....
I take a 3/32 drill bit and drill a pilot hole, then run a M3 metal screw in and out of the hole a few times. This will make the nylon standoffs screw in a bit easier, which support my MultiWII board.

weight

Here is the weight of my build at this point.

Two coats of clear and half of my frame screws in. As I said before my arms are longer than suggested stock. So your weight could be lighter built stock.

Weight is listed in oz and grams

Well I am waiting on my 500 size landing gear to come in.
I need to have it mounted before I lay out my wiring and battery placement.
Hope to have it in by Friday...
