Romney chasing Jewish votes in Florida!

Last night Mitt Romney launched a new attack on Barack Obama’s foreign policy. The President was, he said, guilty of “chronic disregard for the security of our closest ally in the Middle East”. Unlike his challenger, Romney “believes that Israel is our most important ally in the Middle East and that support for Israel is essential to extending freedom, peace and democracy throughout the region”.

My guess is he's after fundamentalist Christian votes, as there are far more of them in the US than there are Jews, and they're also more likely to support Israel in whatever it does.

Despite the fact that lots of Jewish voters in Florida voted for Patrick Buchanon in 2000, Jews tend to vote Democrat.

Despite the rhetoric, American Jews put America first, and Israel second or somewhere else down the list.

Many American Jews are less than totally comfortable with President Obama, and not just because of his Mideast policies.

However, most are totally repulsed by the Fundamentalist-based Republican social agenda, and will vote Democratic as always. We know the only reason the Christian right is "pro-Israel" is because they think the existence of an Israeli state presages the Apocalypse, wherein all the Jews die. No thanks!

Because (for obvious reasons) Jews have always been for social justice.

Not exactly. Who CAN trust Romney on ANY issue? Thiose of us who don't like Netanyahu's policies appreciate Obama's steadier hand and lack of obsequiousness toward him.

And Obama is more likely to place higher priority on American interests vs. Israel's (or anyone else, for that matter). Romney's blank check approach would probably lead to a disastrous war in the Middle East and guarantee that the current Jihad will last for centuries, with the US as the prime enemy.

Again, No Thanks!

Anyone that cares for the United States and Israel will NOT vote for Romney!

And I can google 20 more examples really fast . Which would be just the peak of the Iceberg.

As a matter of fact, there's a real 5th column that Israel has in the US, despite claiming to be one of USA"s closest allies.
