Oh Mark, that is too good!

Tic, you either got some competition, or did some darn good teaching!

Signs should be posted at parks: "Fly a REAL plane, dammit, and wash your hair".
Webster's defines a plane as "a heavier than air vehicle with wings from which it derives most of its lift"
'Wings seem to fit that description.

If you design a plane poorly from a noise perspective, it will be loud. And if the pilot is obnoxious then the plane stands a strong chance being flown obnoxiously.
However, you can do that to any other plane and get the same results as from what some of the people on this thread seem to expect from a Zagi, regardless of layout. If you must hate someone, hate the designer and pilot, not the plane.

I learned on a 'wing, and it is my favorite type of plane. They can go from bad*ss to beautiful in no seconds flat. They are equally at home at the slope or pylons. At MY field, they are a very welcome sight. The only people I scare with my wing are trespassers waltzing all around the runway. (Nothing too low or dangerous, of course). The only scourge in RC is people who rain on other's parades because their parades are non traditional.

The best part about wings is that they are the TARGETS in full-contact combat!

Now if only they'd put the props up front so they wouldn't sound so obnoxious (and actually do some REAL damage when they make contact) ...

tic has a valid point here though. When I went out to fly the jet, people were flying Dragonflys, Champs, Bixlers and SlowSticks. All of those kids laughing and hollering is a big distraction, so I think those models should be banned.
These are the funniest posts I've read in quite a while. Well done.

I had test flown some ones ZAGI before. That thing screamed very loud and made my ears bleed. It was music to my ears. Tic just doesn't get it.

It would seem that way, yes, if you make the erroneous assumption that wings fly by making lift.

Right, I forgot. 'Wings fly through cloud suction and magnetic repulsion from greasy, unwashed hair.

Everyone knows that's impossible.

The only reason they fly is because the ground hates them as much as we do. The only reason they can land is because their batteries run out, at which point the ground no longer considers them a problem since they're essentially crippled.

Mum is the word!
Well thats not exactly true .

Edited Mandy vid ground view (7 min 24 sec)

Ah, but remember these things thermal very well, 1/2 of the flight or more can be unpowered if you fly right.

The cloud suction thing is actually very well proven.
