Late for work again!

So elegant that I'm not going to cover it!! The glider is virtually complete and I am having a problem deciding how to finish it. There should be links to build threads for all of these in my blog.

Some more photos of them with no clothes on and a couple of gliders that I forgot:

Bud Riser

This is my best "floater" sailplane. I do have an OLYIII and a semi-composite sailplane I call the Edge Dancer, but this plane sits up there like a home sick angel! It is a totally reconditioned Riser 100 that has been radically modified to a 132" wing span and it flew just wonderful until a friend blew the wings off of it. It is undergoing repair and will be flying again in a short period of time. Donald.

Surprisingly my Great Planes Fling has the lightest loading even compared to my $1k TD ships. A tiny receiver and a tiny LiPo with a super tiny BEC really reduced the loading.

Can you specify what Rx, LiPo, servos, and BEC you used? I've been thinking about doing a DLG but maybe this is a better approach & lower $. Do you think it might even be possible to install a very small outrunner and not go over weight?

Receiver- http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s..._Receiver.html

LiPo- http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...tSortOrder=asc

BEC was made from an old brushed ESC. Servos were micro Futaba and you can find lighter and cheaper. I also recovered it in Monokote.

lot's of work to build - they fly slow, but very responsive and predictable - no bad habbits - because they are so big, you can fly them very high where there's lots of lift - be careful not to get too high - you can have a hard time getting them down

Wow, some gorgeous gliders here

Here is my contribution. Sagitta 900, lengthened wing (111"), used Selig 3021 instead of original E205, flaps instead of spoilers. Flies really nice.

Thanks Kurt!

It flies really well too!
I would make the LE covering a little less busy if I were to do it again.

In the beginning....

Well sort of, here is a picture of me and my Gentle Lady, built in 1985 for a 1 design contest to commemorate Carl Goldberg. Actually did well, brought home wood that day, 1st in 2min precession, 2nd in “pretty plane”, 3rd in duration.

When my daughter showed an interest in flying I dug out the GL, did some referb on the wing, recovered it and it was out flying again.
