Really? I've pulled apart bad packs and never found a metal plate. Which ones have a metal plate?

Edit: Video of a skylipo getting pulled apart posted shortly.

Appreciate you telling me what I know, there is nothing from me at any site, let alone that one, that says anything about me knowing where this guy gets his planes from. Guess the kudos and admiration are having the intended effect?

No problem, your welcome. I'm not sure the effect is what you think it is but whatever floats your boat, have at it. LOL.

In this post, it's this site that you quote so passionately: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...&postcount=165

maybe you should search again.

I think I'm inverted. Maybe.

I'm pretty sure that Sky and Gens stopped putting heatsinks on their packs once they realized it was a terrible idea. None of my new packs (all 10 of 'em) had heatsinks on them.

My latest Gens Ace (3S 2600mAh) that I purchased in May had the aluminum plates.

For the record, I really like the plates as they provide outstanding protection from hangar rash and I wished that all lipoly manufacturers did the same. The protection plates are one of the reasons why Gens Ace are among my favorites. If they did indeed stop providing them, I may take Gens Ace off my preferred list.

No need to search.

You quote me almost as passionately, and I am flattered at your continued attention to my posts. Insert LOL and smiley face here. Oddly enough you're quoting my posts made here but allege I've said something different somewhere else. Feel free to post that thread, and those comments. I'll save you the trouble though, there are no such things. It appears my passionate comments about the other place seem to upset you, so, I apologize if that's the case, it's not my intention.

Granted I asked the initial question of another poster and started the off topic questions, but at this point I'm done with the off topic commentary. Don't mistake that for not wanting to continue the great discussions we're having, feel free to start a thread and we can continue there.

Tom, your attempt at reverse psychology does nothing. LOL. Your spin on things is entertaining though. You seem to enjoy the heck out of yourself for sure! I have far less emotion in this aspect than you think. It wouldn't be the first time someone has accused me of being passionate just because I disagree. You see, I can disagree without getting ruffled. Something that many cannot seem to do.

Now back to the topic of these lipos...... Can't wait to see factual results of these things.

We've been around the block a couple times.

What did you order?

This got lost in the general "he said, he said"

My findings previously posted::

I received only 1 of 2 ordered 4s 2200 40c, although the packing slip shows 2. I am awaiting Jason's reply on that issue. Anyway the 1 I received flies great performing about the same as the GForce 4s 2200 40c I use all the time. I am a bit concerned about the discharge lead which is a rather long 6". Seems like that is a bit long with all the warnings about keeping ESC lead lengths short. The other batteries seem to be around 3". But my 8 minute flights on a high performance Stik come down at about 3.8 volts per cell which is good.

As a post script I got a phone call, today, with an apology with the missed second battery. It will ship tomorrow.

So, the battery is, at least, the equal of a GForce 2200 4s 40c. My only concern is the 6" discharge lead length.
