Now that I have all the honey dos finished and have finished the repairs to wifes ODOM and US1M I will be able to get back to working on the T50( named BOY TOY by the wife as she says that I spend all my time on it). Like I posted earlier I have epoxed the keel, rudder, and mast sleeved in place and will dry fit the deck in place to double check the postions for the chain plates. Then I will make up the chain plates and epoxy them in place then dry fit the deck again. Next step is to epoxy the deck side supports in place which I plan to tack in place with supper glue then apply a coat of epoxy on the underside to secure them in place.
I remember how much epoxy I got all over when I epoxyed the deck side rails on the T37. Besides they will really be held in place when I epoxy the deck on.
I was lookin at the radio board and reading how Will uses servo tape to hold the servos in place and I now plan on using 4-40 ss bolts with blind nuts under the board to hold the servos. That way I can remove the servos without damaging the radio board or worry about the screws holding the servos giving way. Will post some pictures as soon as I can.

nice looking hull how much does it weigh?

Per Tippecanoe web site total weight is 8.25lbs. the hull with rigging and radio gear weigh 3.25lbs then the keel, bulb and rudder weigh tlbs.
I got the deck side support rails tacked in with super glue today and will epoxy then in tomorrow along with clear coating the radio board.

No Still waiting.

While I am waiting, I bought a Dumas 1938 triple cockpit barrel-back Chris Craft kit here on RCG that I will make RC. That and doing some rebuilding of one of my US1M's should keep me out of trouble.

It's looking good. Did you varnish the hull or do you need to paint it yet. Let us know how it sails.

BTW qre those the sails that came with the kit or are the sails from Ron Carr, they look like the ODOM sails that I got from Carr Sails.
