We have the engine sorted. The car the kids are in is a 1952 Buick Super Convertible. The plane looks like a North American F-86 Sabre.

Think it is an F86. From where my Dad is from (Southwestern Virginia), we used to see N&W coal trains all the time, and they'd go by the house for what seemed like hours for just one train...

They're still around, along with C&O, although CSX has bought up most of the track. I'm in Richmond.

O.Winston and assistant with Graphic View 4 x 5 and a "small" light array. Think about the logistiscs of all this in the time frame it was done.

Sylvania Electric - Pennsylvania Railroad photograph: A night photograph taken to mark the centennial of the Horseshoe Curve on the Pennsylvania Railroad (as the Trail Blazer train, en route to Chicago, passed an Altoona-bound freight train, the scene was illuminated with six thousand photo flash bulbs).
