Question RE: my new Green 1400mm Zero

Greeting BH

Just got my first-ever order (FMS 1400mm Zero in green) from you; it is in fine shape!

My question is this: The included FMS literature specs the ESC as a 65A model, yet my model only has a 50A ESC???

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi BadClam! That could very well be a typo on the spec sheet. The majority of our FMS 1400mm warbirds come with 50A brushless ESCs. The 1400mm T-28 Trojan is the exception with a 65A brushless ESC. I do apologize for the discrepancy. Thanks! -Seba

it is not a typo, go to FMS's own web page and you'll find the same info. Also, folks in AUS are reporting they're getting Zeros with the 65A setup (and larger motor).

The 1400mm T-28 is not the "exception" here; please see your other FMS 1400 models like the 109 and 190.

Thanks Seba

Additionally, all the literature which was included with the model (labeled FMS AND Blitz RC Works, btw) reference ONLY a 65A ESC.

I would obviously would prefer to have the part as listed vice what showed up.

Thank you

Hi Badclams! Having confirmed with our lead technicians, the version of the FMS A6M3 Zero distributed through Banana Hobby comes with a 50A brushless ESC, as stated on our website's product page. Perhaps the earlier versions of the A6M3 Zero initially included the 65A ESC setup, however the new kits that we have been receiving from FMS are all coupled with 50A ESCs. I have notified management to update the literature with this piece of information. My sincere apologies for the discrepancy. Thanks! -Seba

The bigger question is: will the 50A ESC do the job...and if not, will BH Leave Mr. Clams holding the bag of airplane parts on his own?

Hi MRGTX! The 50A brushless ESC gets the job done quite well. -Seba

BH has the older Zeros with the 50amp ESC, the newer Zeros have a different kv motor and a 65amp esc

This is from FMS
Zero and F6F are the old opponent on the battlefield. FMS will update configuration of this two warbirds as below:

The ESC will upgrade to 65A ESC with 5A SBEC and the motor will be 4250-kv580. Better configuration, same price.
