Wanna join us?

Hey Charles...where were you this last Saturday?? We even did a barbecue in your honor at the Sage field??

Dave,

I had to work, but did get to fly a wee bit in the morning and then again on Sunday afternoon. It was quite breezy and turbulent. Hope you ate "my" portion. Have you heard anything from Everest?

Disclaimer: I'll try hard to be at SAGE on 10/6, but we continue to work 6-7 day weeks. No promises, but hope springs eternal!

Don't cry! We had planned to meet the weekend before, but the field was to soggy from the previous week's rain.

We didn't really make plans for the following weekend, but I guess Dave & The Gang had a BBQ while I was slaving away at work - how do you think I feel?

But ... looking ahead to Sat 10/6, I don't think Greg will object to an impromptu BBQ, and I can bring hot-dogs and chips. Maybe even a 12-pack of Coronas or Dos Equis! For the most interesting man in the world if he decides to show up. Hope you and George and Charlie and Lee and Donnie and Adam and Norm and Darren and Dale join us.

Yes..............It was nice for about an hour then very high winds....would have been a waste of time to come down.

To paraphrase Greg: Wind seprates the pilots from the shoe salesmen. We also had fairly strong wind Saturday morning, and were for the most part struggling to make 2 minutes. I'm actually hoping that we have wind on 10/6 so that we may learn from the masters. Seems like we could catch a thermal and ride it for maybe 10 seconds before the plane was too far downwind. After that, it was head home and pray for lift on the way back, which mostly didn't work.

People from anywhere, on the honor system, fly the contest tasks on their own, wherever they may be. They pay their fees, submit their scores, and get factored in like any other contest. Proceeds go to the 2013 USA F3K team.

I like the idea of postal contest fundraisers.

Is there a minimum amount of pilots required to call it a contest?
