Keenan, the banshee looks great well done on designing this.
The only thing i would change if it was me is how you have the wings join to the fuse. Ive added a picture of it so you can see what i mean. i would have 1 piece wing as joining it how you have it might be a little weak....

Do you agree? let me know.

Also im going to help you with autocad, you know when you draw say an aileron, if you select 1 line of the aileron and type 'pedit' it will say do you want to turn it into a polyline, just type 'y' and enter and then type 'j' and selct every line that is for the aileron and it will join them as 1 item and when you select a line it selects the hole aileron. see the picture.

Doing this saves time and money as your cnc guy will have to do all that for you otherwise and time is money and is easier for you to move items around on your drawing.

a feature you may not see on many F3P Planes is TFG's (Top Force Generators) to improve Rudder Effectiveness aswell as way Over-Size SFG's (Side Force Generators) to improve Rudder Effectiveness and Stabilize Wing rock Near and Below Stall speed... i'll include a Picture on the Next Post....

Well i stand Corrected ...

the reccomended setup depends on the proto's AUW but i say around a 10-15A esc a 10g 2000kv motor and an 8 to 9-6 Slo-fly prop but until i build the proto Who knows..?

i know that 3mm Depron Weighs on average anywhere form 83g per sheet to 91.6g
+ in on build i'd use about 1/4 of a tube of glue (thats how much was used for the Slightly bigger Genesis) 1 tube being 40g thats 10g of Glue,

then 3 6.5g Power HD DS-65~HB Digital servos
*click the picture

17g Nano Tech 2s 35-70C 300Mah Lipo

*click the pic

and a 20.9g Powerhouse 2000kv Motor Swinging a 9x5 Slo-Fly

*click the pic
+
1 9.1g turnigy plush 12A ESC

*click the pic
Giving me An estimated AUW RTF of 143.1g
and a thrust to weight ratio of around 2.51-1

Post your thoughts and recommendations for changes

Made the changes Recommended by Brett and also used the chance to organised the parts on the sheet for maximum part stiffness and Torsional stiffness
( yes i did make all the parts polyline too .. )
i have attached Screen caps of before and after..

Since this is the F3P not the foamies or indoor forum I will make a couple of suggestions.

20g motor is heavy. The Axi at 18g all in is really a lot these days (gets away with it on bigger models as so good a motor).

240'ish batteries for sport flying. 180's for flying the schedules.

Servos. Try the next size down. Nothing bigger than 4.5-5.0g on all surfaces. Use 1 aileron servo.

Unless you have built a brick you will need nothing more than a 6A esc. My overweight Helix (120g) runs fine on small esc. Averaging less than 2A on current schedule flight.

One piece wing is ideal for home build but not if you are going to ship any to customers :-)

Dave
