I may take the Sbach out later on in the evening before sunset when the winds will die down a few MPH...A cold front is near and we are going from a high in the mid 70's to a high in the mid 50's....... Kevin PS---After checking the model more closely I had a right interplane strut torn in two and the left interplane strut holding on by a thread of foam...Almost torn in two...If I had lost both interplane struts then most likely the upper wing would have snapped off leaving the center section intact...Only the flying wires kept the upper wing in place!!! |

I have the stock setup and to me its like whisper quiet compared to the 3000kv on the GeeBee and Stryker!

Got a chance to put the sfg's and try them out, man Wat a difference. After flying with them and feeling how much more rudder athority I have I don't think there coming off any time soon. I had no knife edge problems before but just makes them so effortless. KE loops and figure eight's no prob now. Also now that I have my prob balanced to 3s type rpms I have no more occilation issues on 2s !!

Hi guys, sorry to interrupt your thread. I need to decide on a plane to order and am choosing between the full-size F-27q, the new E-flite Edge and this little plane. I'm almost decided on this plane as the Edge might not be in Aus until January and the Stryker would be club only. The reason why I came here is because this Sbach only BNF Basic. I don't have any UMX series planes and would have to buy some batteries. I'm just wondering if I bought the recommended 180 and 200mah batteries, will I be able to charge them on the ParkZone charger included with my SE5a? It has a plug for 2s batteries but is it too powerful and will the plug fit?
Any help if recommendations will be very much appreciated! Tom |

Plug will not fit. If you have any other lipo chargers you can get an adapter at rc-connectors.com.
I dont know about your SE5a charger, but someone else will. Dont buy the eflite batteries! Buy hyperion with umx connector. Miniaviation. Nano-tech with umx connector. Babbelbatts. |

Hobby king has some really reasonable small chargers that in my opinion are much better that anything e-flight has. I use the nanotech 260mah and that gives me about 7min in the Sbach. Personally I don't like charging these batteries without knowing how much I am putting back in. As far as choosing the plane I have the Stryker UM and its right up there with my Sbach as far as fun to fly! But if I had to choose I would get the Sbach because there are more things you can do with it. Not to mention its faster and quieter just great for the park!

The PZ charger has a 300mAh-2A current range, so that's not a problem. However, you would have to find or make an adapter cable that would work with the UMX packs. If you are serious about this hobby, do yourself a huge favor & pick up a hobby-grade multi-chemistry balance-charger than displays charge info. It will pay for itself in battery savings alone.
