Do you think there is a possability that I may have considered that upgrade ?? {sure did} But I am now sure that you would have a very tail heavy model.
But I do believe that a built up model of this size would be great .You never know of the strange things that go bump in the night.........it may have already started to grow..................................
The thing is that this kit from Joe is a good flying model .It was the easiest test flight that I have ever had.

Ditto. Still have the flloats on but I'll get weights with and without. It's probably a bit heavier right now until the balsa dries out.

Ready to fly with 3000ma Lipo AND floats mounted =1315g
Ready to fly on wheels =1180g

I did use very light covering, no paint and hardly any glue
Must be all the sanding I did.

Chris it is always a pleasure to read your posts and see what you are working on. What a nice job you have done on the Profile Kellett. Just picture perfect! The yellow on the bottom helps out with the orientation OK? Any suggestion are welcomed. I am so glad you built it and thank you for your post, vids and photos. I am sure you will get a vid soon of her in the air, we will be impatiently looking for one.

Very nice looking in the air picture perfect I would say!!
I tried to get to the field yesterday to maiden mine but it took me an hr. just to get it up from the cellar and then my leg hurt so much I couldn't drive to the field. At least it up stairs and in the garage next stop the field.

Dave.. Bill... Joe....Thanks for your kind words....I must admit that I am pleased with the overall apperance of this model. The blue/ silver does look nice and it is applied pretty much as per the full size machine.
No loops yet ....I have not tried.......I have had many comment's on just how nice this model looks in the air and how easy it looks to ROG and generally fly. The landings are just about all made vertical or backwards............looks great with the model landing "in reverse"
Happy Landings

Parts Questions

Could someone make some recommendations on servos for the control head. I think Joe recommended getting some in the 60 oz. torque range. Some model numbers and where to buy would be big help. I am having trouble finding the metal geared ones in that torque range.

What size Dubro hinges for the head - small, medium or large?
