Kellett R.O.G's & Landings (8 min 41 sec)

Went flying today with the thought of making a video that may be of help to a beginner.
Started OK ........
but then as usual a blubbering idiot took over.
I did try ,come to think of it my wife tells me that I am very trying........is that what she means?
Happy Landings
Chris..........

I bought the kit before I realized that I do not have a paved area to do a ROG. I will be using a soccer field with grass taller than in the above video. Would this take off of the taller grass with some larger wheels or is it possible to hand launch? Watching the video I see the prop spinning up the blades and I wondered if some type of release mechanism could be used to hold the gyro until max rotor rpm is released?

No Bro:
Not trying at all very informative, for a lot of us repeating things is the only way we learn anything, I liked it.

Glad you liked the video.
Don.......Must be magic...........or some of the 150 other members in the club.
Rickochet......I am using 3" wheels. I am sure this model will handle longer grass.....in fact, it may even be an advantage to restrain the model a little. I am sure some kind of restraint can be made ,although I have never found the need for one. Just a mater of playing with prop speed......A slow ROG is always the best ....... Hand launch is so simple, and I still believe ,just about the best way to launch any small to medium autogyro.
If you look at some of my earlier videos ,then you will see a lot of hand launch.
Hey Bro............Thanks
Happy Landings
