I just got an E-Mail from Barry Kennedy,he is shipping my AVA on friday. It is part of the shipment he got last week from Vladimirs Models.
I am really excited about getting this model. I will post pictures as i do the radio instalation an get some air time. This might be the onley way an old man can still compete.

The picture of the AVA parts shows a 12" brown tube. What is the brown tube used for? (I have an early AVA which did not come with a brown tube. I have not had time to assembly my AVA yet so your comments on the building process will be of great interest). Thanks.

Thanx CHARLIE BRITT 7, but I don't think I will be buy one in a hurry. I have a Quant, that I'm yet to build. I still need the money to buy the brushless motor and speed controller. I must say that the AVA is a great looking glider though.

Hey this is my 69th post

more pics

today i did the cut out for the servos and batt.
a word of caution, move the servos about another inch foward, this will give you better access to the ballasts tube.
now i will have to cut my weights to 1.5 inches to get them in the tube.

intresting way the rudder attaches to the boom.

Tow Hook

this pic showes the took hook instalation.
i sanded the inside of the pod then zaped a 1/32 pice of air ply over the area where the tow hook i mounted.
that hook will never pull out.
