Velocity/edf hobbies 2950kv 4.0mm 70mm

Would this motor with 6 blade fan do fine with 4 and 5 cells even though its recommended for 6 cells? or should i get EDFhobbies 4200kv motor thats designed for 4/5 cells

I've tested it with 5lbs 12oz on 65c\3300\6s around 1800 watts!! with a pitch similar to wemo\sapac rotors....

Really a good motor...

If you have the 6 blade rotor be careful of'll wear the blades down quick

Ok! good to know, now we are talking about the 2950kv right? just makin sure before i place my order in? also running with hobbywing 100amp ESC with 120amp burst, from the calculations it should handle the watts and power that motor draws

What about a 5s 64mm on 3950kv with a cyclone power metal shroud and a wemo mini cut to 64mm? Do yo think you can test that edfhobbies setup?

Incredible motor..Solid 6 lbs thrust..eflite 69 mm fan..Just awesome power output and i actually like it better than the HET 1 w40 motor..
Did have one mess up on me though..
Should be no issues getting it fixed as its not burned up....

I just purchaed this motor, my first real step up from the stock eflite habu motor. I'm going to be using an CC Ice lite 100amp ESC, 6S Hyperion 2600mah 35C or 6S Align 3300mah 40C batts and the 5 blade fan/housing from an older 3575KV RC Lander unit. All that said, should I be at all concerned about the gauge of the wires attached to the motor? They appear to be 12ga at best, whereas the leads from the ESC are 10ga. I'm putting 5mm bullets on the ESC and was planing to make a 5mm to 3.5mm adaptor to connect to the leads that run thru the Habu fuse.

Should not be an issue..the motor wires are pretty small as well...12 or 14 gauge but very stiff stuff...

My suggestion is replace the old lander blade with a wemo 70mm blade and an adapter from gary @ efflux rc. The lander blade/adapter are only good for low power systems dude!

Thanks guys. Any feelings about the HET 6904 unit vs the WeMoTec mini?
