Awesome guys, this is exactly what I had in mind for this thread. Lots of fun reading what everyone around the world is doing with their toy airplanes today

I see I am in good company. I am still banned from any physical activity since my surgery so all I can do is enter the workroom and look at the box holding my planes hoping for the day when I can fly again.
Besides, I have like 4 or is it 5 DLGS that need building but the desire is weak since why build if you cannot fly. Also, with winter coming, I know I will wqnt ot do something then and building HOPEFULLY will be done then. Meanwhile the homebuild SG, a Micro D, a Binary 900 and 2 Edge gliders will wait...... Maybe this thread will inspire me to get going..... Thanks guys. Great idea Kyle. Frank |

It's good to read that I'm not the only one who breaks stuff, then sets it aside for a while before fixing it. Once I get back in the habit of repairing, I get a lot done though. In the last week,I've repaired some dings to my Lightspeed, a wobbly blade in my Katana wing (flew it day before yesterday, the fix worked ) and finally, patched a few little holes, and one big one where I put my finger through it on a bad catch, in the covering of my Gambler. My Validol is still unfinished, but my work table is clear...

I installed the receiver and did a range check in my "new to me" Lighthawk. (It passed.) Wondered how to secure the wiring and left it on the bench for tonight.
It's been a while since I did any hand launching - and that was a side arm launch Swyft. I'm a bit nervous I'll smack the wing on the ground. At least I know what to watch out for! |

Flew the snot out of my beater Zone V1 in 15 gusting to 20 huge lift and matching sink. Now it's time to fix the delam on the vertical where I hit a hay bale and it fell back on the tail. Being a Florida boy I have limited experience with slopeing, and the rotor behind the row of bales smote me down

Does yesterday count? Didn't see this thread until today. Longest flight and many other great ones, really learning to find the core.
One flight there was a beautiful moment with the glider gently circling in a blue gap between two large cumulus clouds, both with a brilliant silver edge. Today, I put my batteries on the charger!!!!! oh yeah, baby!!!!! Joseph |
