Oh, also flew without the 2oz of ballast for the first time since it was quite calm. It flew well, but wouldn't have penetrated if there was more than 5-10 knots. Ballast is back in.

Maidened my Predator II today. Flies very well and will make an excellent addition to my quiver. I just wish I didn't have to add 9g of weight to the tail to get the CG right!

One of the few to show up at Allyn's Meadow today for some flying. Wind wasn't that bad, beautiful day.

Went this afternoon to find that making 2 minutes was a real task. Light winds in the late afternoon made for really low-topped, wind-swept thermals. Fun times. Fixed the battery too. Starting to get the build bug, looking for something cheap to build

Flew my Katana with my sunglasses on until it was way past dusk. With all the smoke in the air from the eastern WA fires the sunset was colorful. The air got real dense and still after the sun went down and I got about 5 flight in a row going for max air time. All 5 were within 5 seconds, 1:35 was the average. I did get a 1:55 and a 1:58 but they were aided with a few bumps.

All charged up and ready to fly in the morning. Only flown twice in the last three months. Really getting the itch to fly. Plus having a Helios sitting on the bench waiting to be assembled, is killing me.

I moved my DLG from the back of the SUV to the shelf because my wife needed the SUV to take the in laws to the airport today.

Stark is in the car... shaping up to be a lovely day. A lunch-time fly is on the schedule.

Went out at 7:30 this morning to work on trims, etc.

Dead calm. Perfect tuning air. Spent an hour just chucking.

That's what Romney did with his dog...

Anyway, sounds like a good trade. In laws are gone.

My wife doesn't fly DLGs! If I strapped them to the roof of the SUV they would be wherever she and the SUV are now rather than where I could get to them if the opportunity arose.

you did say your in-laws were taking a plane.....

I was merely trying to expedite their departure.

But you are right, then you would need new planes or at least they would be with your wife and in laws and then you could not fly....
