According to servo database the specs for torque and speed should be the same for the HS-65mg @ 6v and the MG14 @ 4.8v.

My servo tester can't verify this. Does this seem right to anyone that has used both servos, or is the MG14 spec optimistic?

I just looked at the roll rate on SD's video, and it is superior to my MG14's on 4.8v, but I have yet to test MG14 on 6v, until my BEC arrives. I don't enjoy killing 65mg's simply due to cost, and when an MG14 goes it is less 'painful' in that respect. I actually have not killed an MG14 yet, only 65mg's. My thinking is that if you have the Hitec, then by all accounts it is a solid reliable servo, so run with that. Others may have other opinions to share, as I have no experience on 6v as of yet

I have use the TP Mg14's on 6v in a couple of planes and they have performed very well for me. Strong, center well and very reliable. They aren't real fast but are ok.

Put plane on ground with WOT and up elevator. If elevator blows down you need bigger servo, smaller prop or different configuration on control arms.....

I don't think that puts the same loads on the servo as high speed knife edge spins, snaps, pop tops, etc.

Oh, just noticed those were 65 hb you have, I think you really need mg on this plane.

I was thinking of using HB on AIL, and then pulling the MG for the tail from another plane.
