I used the Scorp 890kv. It weighs 165g from memory. My packs were pushed into the cowl area around 1cm to get a nice CG. My plane balances at the middle magnets with the canopy off

Ill post a pic or 2 later

Mine is ready for maiden, of course weather looks like crap tomorrow. Possible snow, but they are saying next week in the 70's again(I hope). With the Omega 130 gm and using the supplied spinner my 2200 batt is just about 1/3 under the cowl and it balances at the middle magnets. I'll know more when I fly it, I'm excited this plane looks so nice.

Hope the weather clears soon for you J'int'guy.

I am running Hk939's all round on mine. Never used them so ill ill get an indication on their lifespan soon I guess.

I flogged out an MG14 pretty quickly doing KE loops with my SW.

Anyone got any suggestions on a heavier rudder servo?

Hengli are a good motor. I run them in some of my Skywings

Look how nice it looks in the back of my car!

Also this is where my 2200 pack sits (pack weighs 185g) and the plane balances at the center magnets with the canopy off.

It looks blimmin brilliant! Did you spray the canopy? Oh, and is the underside that fan shaped lines?

PS - I chickend out on the 939 and went MG-14 (just becaue I know them so well). I'll await your verdict and might try them next time around.

I thought 939 was better than MG-14.

Canopy came black.

Was just thinking back about how well this plane does scale landings, she glides in like she's on rails! So slow and yet so stable! Not sure what it'll be like in wind though as I flew in dead calm conditions today.

This is pretty close to where my batt ended up as per the build video showed, mine is probably about a half inch further forward. I'll have to see how this shakes out once I get a chance to actually fly it.

If she balances at those middle magnets or slightly forward, you'll be laughing. Ground take offs are awesome and hand launches are just as easy as the Skywings.
