The gps must be a solid dim red.
It must never flash

Watch this video for help on setting it up.

If you are talking about MWC 2.1, that capability is already included in the code - just not enough documentation available to understand how it should be set up.

Multiwii GUI (2.1) values twitch/creep

Hello all.

I recently moved from a Crius AIOP to this HK board. Successfully setup GPS and had it flying but it seemed a little twitchy compared to the Crius.

I just hooked up board to GUI and noticed throttle, yaw, pitch, etc. values were twitching up and down. I've never seen this before. It does it with GPS on/off and Tx on/off. I have calbrated acc and mag.

Here's a short video I made this morning. Does anyone have any suggestions?

MultiWii GUI values twitch (0 min 24 sec)

Many thanks.

Decided to try multiwii after having 3 KK2 boards (which worked well). Read the first post, got the board and then decided to instead load a code from the web.

Not sure why i deviated, but after scratching my head for an hour trying to get GPS to work, thought I'd better follow the original post

And after following, word for word, the GPS works

The whole arduino seemed daunting, but makes sense and is quite straightforward. Now to mount in my quad and try to tune the board before I tinker with the GPS.

Thanks for all the great info.

Yep, in the form of MegapiratesNG. There is a great thread on it:

Better in Blue!

I have the FC in Blue now and at a new price get it with Ubox for less $65.

Shipped from the USA. HK price matched with a better GPS.

It depends on what equipment you are connecting. Swithing BEC or linear BEC, what kind of BEC in the ESCs (if any), etc.

its much simpler than fred says

Firstly if the ESC's have a ubec built in, usually called ubec then you do not need to connnect the extra ubec.

if they do not then this is what you do.
Find the wire diagram on hobbking files section to connect the ESC's to the board and the RX to the board.

The ubec can be plugged into the RX if it has a spare port or the main board.

and for programming, i have a full series of videos on how to program the board on youtube.
there are links on the hobbyking file section for those.

Having same problem not being able to connect to board . No flashing lights or anything. Just receive error message "avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout". Checked all my settings and everything seems to be ok. Super frustrated. Any ideas?
