It was held at Ardmore to celebrate the completion of the 8 year restroration of the Mosquito. Lots of vids on YouTube. Just the usual Kiwi fare, you know - Mossie, Spit, Kittyhawk, Mustang etc yadda yadda

More inspiration for ya. We have these crazy group of retired Thunderbird pilots called the Patriots here in the states. They have grown on me after seeing many of their rutiens at local airshows. They fly low, dirty and fast all day long......

There sure are a lot of obstructions in the canopy making for poor visibility.

Yeah. It's not a L39 canopy though. It's a Mig 17.

I have a feeling that painted on scoops might look a little weird as the fuse is quite narrow. But hard to say.

So how are you going to make this look like an "L-39" ? I guess you could say that it is a "profile L-39"?

Awesome work Jordan!

Any issue attaching the scoops with magnets? You could fly with them on or off but keep it more scaleish on the ground for the anal retentive.

In the same way that a Slope Scale BD-5 or Higgins F-20 look like the real things.

Jonathan, I think if I wanted intakes then I'd probably carve them from balsa or foam and glass em to the side of the fuse.

Or I could just name it something different.

Just make it how you like it and ignore the noise

Looking forward to the remainder of the build.

I think f20 style "representations" of intakes would look just fine. Anyone who needs scale intakes, this kind of model is not for them.
