Looks great! This is the first 520 I've seen run. I've tested the 524s to over 10k watts, I think Ray ran the first 520.

Bill-

Did you run your cat on 6s also? To pull 4000watts at 100A you would have to be running 10s or more

I was actually pretty surprised by 150A on 6s. That looks like a big hull to push that fast at that level of power.

Bill,

150 seems about right on 6S. Roughly the same size boat as the Falcon, just a bunch less voltage, thus higher amp draw.

Hmmm.... a little more soldering, swap the cables and drop 10S in there............

I'm talking "average" amps by the data log. On a 6 lap run my average amp reading by the Castle graphs come up in the low 100's. Peak amps are around 200 (on 9s with the 2028) and peak watts around 6500.

When I ran Dave's "Beast" 910 kv motor on 6s last Sunday it did pull higher average amps than it did on 8s with the same prop. https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...3#post23243002 Probably because I was able to stay in the throttle more as it topped out just a hair over 44 mph.

If you pulled 100 running 9s, it would be roughly the same power.

9s... 33.3v @ 100A = 3300 watts
6s...22.2v @ 150A = 3300 watts

This one has been kinda quiet lately. How's the 2028 transplant coming Ray?

The transplant will be easy. The motor mounts are the same. It's saving up enough cash for 8 batteries that's taking the time.
