Who makes them ,how much are they . Has any body used them . All I see is a picture of some motors and no information ? They are monsters , one is 750KV the other is 600KV . Probably need 10s amd 12s packs to run them . They do look good .

The rpm limit is very low, bearings or unwraped rotor?

The low rpm limit would depend on how you look at it. 30,000 is all the Castle 2028 is rated for as well but it still makes some serious power. With enough prop it should still push a big hull pretty fast. You just have to think in comparison to the rpm's a gasser can provide.

I like that you can change the wind type (and kv) by using different bullets at the motor, makes for less versions to carry!

Looks like a beefy motor too.

Now Hobbyking has these knew they would be cheaper pricewise, BUT, then you pay shipping and pray nothing happens to it, cuz you'll never see a red cent of warranty money from HKing, with you it will be much different..............heck, you speak English to start with etc...........

You need to fix "the" to "they" in the last sentence of the 520 description btw

The Proteus line of motors is intended for large FE setups. The 520-3T is the smaller broth to the 524-3T, with a physical size of 56mm x 102mm. Single motor setups can power up to 60″ and twins up to 94″, but we recommend the large 524-3T if your project falls on the larger side of that spectrum. These motors are unique in that they feature 6 bullets connectors that can be used to configure the motor in a delta or y wind, changing the kv value and giving the motor greater overall versatility. The are also one of the best looking motors on the market.

Thanks Scorp. It's yet to be seen hows the quality of the blue HK motors compare (I really expect the 524 to be the big seller anyway, not the 520). I know they sold some TP "copies" a while back at low prices and people said they were made with inferior parts. It wouldn't surprise me if these were the same. HK is selling them for significantly less than my cost.

I set introductory prices near cost, and I tried to keep shiping low. I only have a few, so we will see how they do. If people like them I'll be ordering more.

By the way...I think I missed someone's question about size. The larger motor is 56mm x 112mm
