Skoal, Blunight.

"Gusty" describes most of the last 2 weeks here in West Saint Paul too. I don't mind a steady wind, within reason, but I dislike having to figure out where the wind is coming from and how strong it is on my landing approach. Today was spectacular. About 5mph wind straight from the big parking lot and bright sun with cool temps. One thermal didn't break loose for the longest time and I think I could have stayed up all day if they hadn't chased me off with the sprinklers!

5 to 10 mph winds are a god send here lol, usually more like 15 to 30 and gusty, yesterday was good though about 15 to 25 mph winds but they were coming from the open fields and up the little hill rather then over the houses and down it, managed a few 8 mins slermal flights lol with dlg.

A picture perfect day here. About 3mph winds coming straight off the freeway. I've decided that I won't clog up the leader board unless I have the top flight of the month but I had two real beauties today, the short one was 28 minutes, and two others where I did more aerobatics.

Glider: Specter 1800
Thermal
Date and time: 9/27, High Noon
Duration: 37:15 after a 6 second motor run
West Saint Paul, Mn.

The new contest has been posted.

Thank you all for your participation and patience as I learn the ropes of moderating the contest. I haven't quite figured out how I'm going to post monthly records but I figure I'll just add them to the standings page and then, perhaps, reset at the turn of the year. Let me know if you have any ideas on how you would like to see them preserved and thanks again.
