WenMac Attack! (with a little Cox thrown in too!).

If you like or collect plastic RTF U-Control Airplanes from Cox, WenMac, Testors, Aurora, etc., please post photographs here!

This is a late production WenMac RAF Dayfighter (P-39/P-63 tooling-molded in white plastic with RAF markings):

The machine has never been flown or fueled (and won't be, as long as I have it). I will be getting an O.D P-39 flyable, soon).

WenMac P-26A "Peashooter" (also new and unflown):

A WenMac AT6, molded in OD. This one is being pieced together with original and NOS parts. It was flown, at some point:

Blue tinted canopy is incorrect for this early of a WenMac machine.

Early Cox/Thimble Drome P-40 with inverted engine.

The words "Flying Tiger" are molded into the fuselage side.

Thimble Drome Sabre Jet:

Complete except for bellcrank.

Very early Wen Mac Turbojet-canopy is molded into upper fuselage, USAF markings and U.S. insignia are molded into wing:

Nice thread, thanks!! Finding NICE WenMac models is tough. Nice collection there.

I have sold/ given away much of my collection, but have held on to a few that I really like.

I only have one old RTF model, a Wen Mac Falcon. I've run the engine and it runs very well but haven't flow this model. It's in near perfect condition and someday I might risk flying it. I took this photo after I picked it up on EBay almost 10 years ago! It was one of my first ever EBay purchases.

My Wen Mac Aracobra

I've had a REAL long-term love for Wen Mac's Aracobra! Though my first "Cobra" is long gone, I was able get this old battle dog from Ebay, and have flown it with a pretty sick engine. Now, I've got it fitted with a much healthier powerplant, and am looking forward to taking another shot at getting it flying again.

What a great idea for a thread! Never knew there were so many different offerings. When I was a boy I had a Dauntless Dive Bomber, molded in OD green, that dropped a bomb in flight. Was a good sized model. Long gone. Have a smaller Dauntless Dive Bomber molded in dark blue that is in "aged" shape. I'll have to get it cleaned up a bit and put a pic on this thread. Nice photos in the above posts...thanks for sharing.

Soft landings,

Joe

It's great to see other guys that have an interest in old plastic RTF's. Since I was a kid, I've always like these cool looking toys!
As far as different makes, models and versions its got to be in the hundreds easy. I've collected over 3000 photos of RTF's over the last ten years.

I thought you'd had 3000 RTF models by now!
