You are right

Have you used flaps on takeoffs and landings?

Also, what throws or expo did you use?

Finally, this is my first plane with flaps. Any advice how to use them? Maybe mix them with down elevator?

Tnx

On take offs flaps always on. You need to add between 10 to 15% down elevator with flaps as it will balloon up when deployed. I always like to use about 45% expo on all my models for the maiden and then obviously adjust afterwards depending how fast the model reacts to stick movements

Tnx for the reply.

So full flaps on take off with 10-15% mix down elevator?

How about landings?

The plane slows down a lot I never needed flaps to land but you can try doing a few high flybies with flaps deployed to see how the plane behaves with them in the air. I did not like flaps deployed while landing as it totally changed the flight characteristics whilst turning /banking at slow speeds to come in for landing.

AR6100 placement

Just bought a used Island Wings Beaver and will be putting in my ar6100. Anyone have suggestions as to the best location. Iím not sure if it needs to be away from esc, battery, etc....
Thanks

I will have to take a look to see where I placed mine, but if you did not get a user manual, you can get one here: https://www.horizonhobby.com/pdf/FLZA4024-Manual-EN.pdf

Here is the supplement that shows where to put the receiver: https://www.horizonhobby.com/pdf/FLZ...plement-EN.pdf
