I WANT THAT BOAT....
Got enough of new kit's waiting for me to start building them, but last year when i saw Graupner intended to make this kit, i told myself i want it..... But it is a plastic boat = no fun to build...
I STILL WANT IT

I agree,no fun building a plastic kit but I believe that
This model is quite lot of fun running it...:-)

Hi there
I did some linkages today with my jets
I'll come with pics tomorrow...
I have one question
I connected my motors continuesly
with a 2s lipo.do they get battery's whole
voltage or the voltage is splitting?

Thanks a lot
Bill...

Looks like it will be a sweet running boat when finished. If you plan on running both engines on one speed control and you want speed, you will have to wire the motors parallel so that they both get 7.4 V from the 2cell LiPo. If you want to conserve your battery and can settle for slower, wiring in series will split the voltage in half between the two. Hope that helps
we don't see too many of these kits in Canada!
Cheers

Hi there GO
In parallel connection I use separate
cables from esc to each motor?if yes
then I'm in series.do I have to change
connection or I can add one more 4000
2s lipo to double my voltage?my esc can
handle up to 36 volts.

I hope it will run nice when finished.
I did some holes on the mast today for
the lights.i'll keep you updated...
We'll see together how it'll run in the
end......

Parallel would be each motor's positive and negative wires are connected directly to the ESC's positive and negative.

Series would be the ESC positive is connected to the positive of one motor, then that motor's negative is connected to the positive of the other motor, and the negative of that motor is connected to the ESC.

That's a cool looking boat, by the way.

fvasileios;

Here is a quick example of how you would wire two motors for the same direction of rotation and to get the same voltage from the ESC. Each wire out from the ESC would be made into a "Y" and connected to the motor's. (If you want counter rotation, reverse the connection on one motor)

This setup will give better performance, but draw more amps through your ESC.

Cheers

Gimpdiggity and GO

thanks a lot for your help...you cleared every questions i had in my mind about these connections...finally i can say that i connected them in parallel but in a different way.my esc wires are going to the first motor and then from the first motor's poles to the second..i 'm getting 7.4 volts on each motor in full speed...
