Very impressed!

Well my P51 and FW190 arrived today down under and congratulations on a very professional presentation, Jon.

We have an indoor meet at our new venue a week from today so with any luck there will be one in the air.

Biggest problem is deciding which one.

I'll keep the other in the box to show the guys what you get.

I am fascinated at some of the choices and at the moment really excited by all the suggestions. Some of them are certainly challenging tho!

What's In the Box

Ok, here's the first Microaces video reviewing the kit itself. Please excuse the presenter. He's never done it before and he's definately not being payed!

I cannot believe how hard it is to talk to a camera and not come across as a complete ****! Although my wife thought that I wasnt any different than normal

This video is all about What's In the Box.

You're a natural, Jon! Hope the next video is out before I get my first kit.

Speaking of which...maybe the post to the US will soon catch up with that to Australia! (impatient)....

Hi Howell, it's 5.99 which equates to approx $9.75. The shipping charges can be found here on the Microaces web site. Just scroll down and they are detailed bottom left.

Props

Jon,

I'll be trying a three bladed prop on my FW-190...and a four blader on the P-51. Have you tried either of those?

Jon, a thought about assembly.

Having now seen what needs to be glued, it is really a laminating task.

Thought I might use the very thin double sided tape that the scrap bookers use. It's cheap and extremely light. Effectively it is just a thin layer of adhesive. I have used it successfully to put Easystar/Bixlers together and it is quite strong.

Would be simpler and neater than UHU Por for this application I suspect. I love Por but it is hard to get it completely thin and even over a large flat surface.

Also you might think about a bit more info in the kit about adhesives. Even a small additional paper slip. The only reference is to "glue" and " foam safe". For many people that would mean CA, polyurethane expanding or even hot glue! UHU Por is not common in some parts of the world - especially minor third world countries like the US and Australia.

Keep the videos coming. Great start.

John
