My first NEAT was spent in the company of Ric. And since then I've looked forward to seeing him each year. Great loss, I'll always remember him........

Very sad news indeed. Even though we knew it was coming, it is still difficult
to accept. All of us that knew him can reflect on the good times and many
conversations we had with him and enjoy the memories.
Ric was a tremendous asset to our hobby and also could be admired as to
how he faced life in difficult times.
Fly high buddy. . .

May the perpetual light shine upon him, now and forever.

May the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace, amen.

We'll miss you, Ric.

Our sympathy to Ric's family, I've know Ric for a long time and we were very shocked to hear of this. This is a sad loss for the Hodges Hounds. He was a very nice person.

Although he would normally have a buddy with him, a few year's ago his wife came with him because his heart had recently required a restart. Few things slowed him down and the stories from his days as a commercial airline pilot were endless. Ric was a good man with a Southern charm. I can still picture him catching his own HLG launch a few years back after the prop came off. As usual, he just smiled.
Greg,
I believe this is the set you are refering to, Photos compliments of Datazman (Paul O) He Just smiled and waved to the crowd.

There will be a memorial service for Ric on May 4th, 2013, at 14:00.

It will be held in the small chapel at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Marietta.

Rebecca has asked for no flowers, and for people to please dress business casual, in bright, happy colors.
