Waren how do you like the lexan sfg's for the AJ Yak? Im thinking on getting a set or fabing them myself.

They are Great! Rugged and look cool.

Vintauri in MN. made mine. He had the drawings of the shortened ones that Andrew did as an option.

The heli got put away. No video, it was mostly technical anyway(I'm in the middle of getting comfortable to piro to the left and do nice smooth rolling circles). Nothing crazy

Sadly yet another pilot killed at an airshow. (3 Soviet l-39's in tight formation at a Labor Day airshow in Iowa and one lost control the pilot had little time to react and the Albatross went nose in very fast. Very sad......

I was thinking they struck each other in that Switch maneuver and the one crunched in the end of his Elevator locking it in a down angle.

Maybe no Ejection seats in those?? Had time to punch out. Who knows. Probably will never know, unless you see an NTSB report a year from now. Same way with Jimmy Leeward in Reno last year. Never heard a final report.

HeliDirect has a 10% Sale on (LABOR10) Code through today.

Just ordered a spare tail blade, main gear and trying out some Xtreme Blades.

Going to Rebind the Board today and see if I can keep that extra power it had last night. Wasn't bad at all. Also going to take my EPA's from 125% to 140%, see what happens.

Careful the servos don't bind. They burn up quite easily. Ask me how I know

I'll go up in 5% Increments.

Found another servo motor slid up in the bracket, tacked it in with CA again.

Lubed the bottom bearing for the main shaft. Painted my V2 Skids white with liquid Whiteout. Anxious to see if I still have the (new) power levels in the motor still.


57 SC packs charged, will go to JVS and throw it around, got my yard work done.

MCPX, second and last flight of the day. Was having various issues, glitching while doing Backflips.

Had the Elevator Servo lock up in about 65% Up position during the last Backflip. Slid it across the blacktop going backwards. Throttle Hold switch saved me again though! Turns out the Elevator Servo wire leads are broke loose on the Servo Board. Now I know where all the recent strange glitching was coming from. Will have to tear the board out and resolder the leads to the servo board. Can move the wires and it cuts in and out, making the blades jump bad.

I got rid of my v1 MCPx a long time ago. It flew great for about a dozen flights. Then it was never right after I crashed it. It just was never crisp and precise. Always drifting and tail blow outs. Got tired of it and sold it.
My MQX was crap too. Motors kept burning up. I went through 3 motors in the first month. finally sold it.
Too much field testing for me.

They are definitely High Maintenance. My tail tick is the most annoying thing. Didn't do it on the V1 Board. The new V2 has it. You can be hovering normal then Blip!, your are turned 90 degrees instantly.
